Sweeps Refining

So Accurate is capable of refining floor/polishing sweeps, filters, sink trap sludge, rags and many other materials that may contain precious metals. Our state-of-the-art incineration systems allows us to burn material containing precious metals without letting particulate matter out into the environment.

Once your material is safely burned, it moves on to our crushing system. This breaks down the material further to produce a fine powder. The material is then cooled and sifted through a mesh screen to separate the fines from the metallic tailings. Magnetics are separated from the tailings prior to being sent to the melt area.

Blending the fines is critical to ensure a homogenous sample for analyzing the material. This is achieved through a large barrel blender, as well as, a smaller bottle blender for the sample.

A moisture test is performed to help determine the amount of moisture in the fines samples, which helps establish the correct value of the material. The fines samples are tested for precious metals using ICP Analytical methods and Fire Assay numerous times before settlement.

Maximize Your Returns

Anything used in precious metals manufacturing should be sent in for refining. This includes such items as: brushes, buffs, laps, felts, cloths, emery paper, and filters from your dust collectors.

Separate gold, silver, platinum and palladium as best you can before sending it in to us. We can minimize your refining charges more effectively that way. No need to separate by karat or purity within each metal group.

Remove magnetic bits and items including iron and steel. It is more difficult and time-consuming to process material when those types of items are present.
