A Golden Reputation
We have been refining karat gold, silver, platinum, and palladium for over 35 years. Our refining services offer a key competitive advantage: maximum recovery. Our metallurgists have developed and improved upon the latest processes to recover every last grain of precious metals in your lot.
So Accurate is a full service refiner, able to refine GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM, and PALLADIUM from various waste streams. We focus on refining for the jewelry industry, and are able to process anything from karat scrap to polishing sweeps to electronic scrap.
It does not matter if your scrap lot is 1 oz or 1000 ozs, our advanced refining capabilities provide our customers with maximum recovery at minimal cost.
We offer prompt service, and numerous settlement options including check, wire transfer, fine gold, coins, or casting grain.
Processing Your Scrap
The moment your scrap arrives at our refinery, it is weighed, assigned a Lot number, and entered into our refining tracking system. The shipment will be closely tracked throughout the entire refining process to ensure security and accountability of your metals. We treat every shipment, large or small, with the highest standards of care in order to provide the maximum return to our customers.
We do a proper melt of your material using our large induction melters, which creates the most homogeneous mixture. A molten pin sample will be taken from the liquid metal; a portion of which will be provided to you. After, the molten metal will be poured into a mold where it can solidify into a bar form.
Our in-house assay lab will take that sample and usually begin working on it that day to determine the precious metals content. Your bar will then be returned to our highly secure vault, until your Lot has been completely settled and paid.
We accept the following types of material for refining:
- Karat, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium scrap
- Dore Bars and Ingots
- Coins and other bars
- Gold filled material
- Castings, Stampings, and Sprues
- X-ray films
- Developer and Fixer Solutions
